As is the case with numerous other European countries, Switzerland too has introduced several measures to improve air quality in recent years. These measures notably include the obligation to retrofit off-road vehicles such as construction machinery and ships with filters. In addition, the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) is currently looking into several measures for retrofitting on-road vehicles such as trucks.
