Baumot products
With its large product range, the Baumot Group offers the right solution for every need.
Passive, active and hybrid exhaust after-treatment systems
Baumot offers a universal product portfolio consisting of passive, active and hybrid PDF systems. All systems are fitted as standard with a data logger and manufactured in accordance with OEM quality requirements. Thanks to their patented closure technology, the systems can be installed and dismantled within just a few minutes and are extremely low maintenance.
PASSIVE SYSTEMS
Thanks to catalytic coating of the ceramic monolith, the regeneration of passive filter systems is completely autonomous, constant, and does not require additives.
BA / BA-B
The chief advantage of the passive Baumot systems lies in their coating technology and procedure which is developed and manufactured in-house. This coating permits configuration of individual requirements and even customer-specific manufacture (BA). Through the implementation of a system whereby a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) supports the monolith, regeneration is possible from an average exhaust temperature as low as 200 °C (BA-B). Both the BA and the BA-B system can easily be used with all diesel engines with a capacity of over 5 kW and an average exhaust temperature of 250 °C or 200 °C.
ACTIVE SYSTEMS
Active filter systems still regenerate at extremely low temperatures on the basis of an autonomous increase in exhaust temperature caused by a flame or heating element. In the process, the “cold” exhaust stream flowing into the filter is, before it enters the monolith, increased in temperature to such a degree with a burner or heating element that the soot particles easily oxidize in the monolith. Among the active systems developed by Baumot are the combustion and heating element system.
BA-F
The unique property of the combustion system (BA-F) is that it measures the level of exhaust back pressure to adjust the flame to automatically adjust the flame until the monolith has regenerated and the optimal exhaust back pressure has been reached. The system performs this function during vehicle operation and without the need for external energy supply. This is achieved by heating the exhaust with a cold flame. This procedure enables problem-free regeneration even at average exhaust temperatures below 50°C. It is suitable especially for vehicles used for stop-and-go operation and only at low full load.
BA-H
The heating element system (BA-H) regenerates automatically by increasing, in dependence of the measured exhaust back pressure, the exhaust temperature with a heating element. By connecting the system to an energy source, regeneration is possible during vehicle operation irrespective of temperature. It is especially suitable for stationary systems such as emergency power supply units and generators.

BA-A
Withthe additive system (BA-A), an additive is automatically injected into the diesel fuel. As a result, the exhaust temperature is increased meaning that regeneration can occur from an average exhaust temperature of 280 °C. The BA-A system is especially suitable for older engines with high oil consumption or very high sulfur values (> 350 ppm).

HYBRYD EXHAUST AFTER-TREATMENT SYSTEMS
All these DPF systems can be combined with each other to accommodate specific requirements. On the basis of experience in the field of exhaust after-treatment accumulated over decades, we offer the ideal system for all applications and operating conditions. A combined system may, for example, be required when you are dealing with high sulfur emissions and low exhaust temperatures. In that case, we would configure and manufacture a customized system in accordance with the criteria efficiency, reliability and cost-effectiveness.
